Wissol has begun importing A1, its highest-octane petrol grade, from Greece for owners of luxury and sports cars in Georgia. The company says the fuel meets current European standards and is positioned as a premium product for engines that require top-grade gasoline.
Where it will be sold
Supplies will reach the market gradually at seven Wissol filling stations in Tbilisi, Argveti and Batumi. Wissol operates one of the country's largest retail fuel networks and already sources several branded grades from Greece and other European suppliers.
Company response
Chief executive Vasil Khorava said A1 is aimed at customers who treat driving as part of their lifestyle and expect fuel that matches modern engine technology. Wissol offered 100-octane petrol more than a decade ago, but the company notes that the share of luxury and sports cars on Georgia's roads has grown since then, increasing demand for high-quality high-octane fuel.
Khorava described the A1 import as a strategic step — the second such move by Wissol — to provide what the company calls the highest-octane fuel available in Georgia.
