Telegram founder Pavel Durov is in Georgia this week after several sightings in Tbilisi earlier in the visit.
Meetings in the capital
In Tbilisi, Durov met Vako Turnava, a member of parliament from the ruling Georgian Dream party. Turnava introduced the Telegram creator to Georgia's information technology sector and its investment and business potential, according to reports from the visit.
Evening on the Batumi waterfront
Durov has since moved to Batumi. On Thursday evening, witnesses saw him at the Acropolis restaurant before he walked along the seaside promenade.
Public appearances
According to people who encountered him, Durov spoke willingly with passers-by and posed for photos with anyone who asked.
