Georgia's Municipal Development Fund has launched a second tender valued at 2.5 million GEL to prepare reconstruction plans for the Magnolia residential complex on Khimshiashvili Street in Batumi, following an initial round that attracted no interest from private contractors.

The initial procurement call was announced on June 16, with a bidding window set between July 11 and July 16. However, no engineering or architectural firms submitted proposals before the deadline.
Under the revised timeline, the new bidding window for the 2.5 million GEL design contract will open on August 19 and run through August 23.
Project Scope and Background
The winning bidder will be responsible for creating the complete engineering and architectural redesign for the complex. Because the contract covers planning rather than immediate physical works, officials noted that the exact technical format and structural scope of the reconstruction will only be determined after the design phase is completed.
The commitment to rehabilitate the prominent seafront property was announced on May 31 by Adjara Government Chairman Zurab Pataradze, as part of broader regional infrastructure improvement initiatives.
