Kutaisi International Airport has added two passenger services aimed at faster processing and more comfortable waits: a Fast Track lane and a new Visa Business Lounge.

Fast Track is now available for priority passport and security control. Travellers can book the service online or purchase it at the terminal before departure. The Visa Business Lounge offers comfortable seating, work areas, dining and children’s zones, with capacity for up to 70 passengers at a time.

Context for travellers

Kutaisi airport, west of Tbilisi, is Georgia’s second-busiest international gateway and a base for several low-cost carriers serving European cities. Peak summer volumes often mean longer queues at border control and security; paid Fast Track is a common model at regional airports seeking to monetise premium flows without rebuilding terminals.

Officials have not published full pricing for Fast Track or lounge access in initial announcements. Rates typically vary by season and whether entry is bundled with certain credit cards or airline tickets. Families and business travellers should check the airport website or information desks for current fees and opening hours.

The upgrades sit alongside broader investment in Kutaisi’s terminal in recent years, including expanded check-in areas and retail. For expats and visitors using western Georgia as an entry point, the services add options beyond the main Tbilisi and Batumi airports.
