The Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched a new remote vehicle ownership transfer service, allowing citizens to re-register vehicles digitally without visiting a service center in person.
The presentation of the electronic system took place in Tbilisi, where agency officials outlined the operational framework, security features, and step-by-step procedures for buyers and sellers.
Digital Portal and Mobile Access
According to Nino Ephoshvili, Deputy Director of the Service Agency, the system simplifies administrative procedures while maintaining official verification standards. Citizens can complete vehicle transfers through the agency's official mobile application, SERVICE AGENCY, or via the web portal at Sa.gov.ge.
The platform guides users through identity confirmation, vehicle detail verification, and agreement signing within a digital interface designed to streamline car sales across the country.
Streamlining Public Services
The initiative forms part of Georgia's broader digital transformation of public administration and public safety services. By moving vehicle re-registrations online, authorities aim to reduce queue times at physical service centers and make vehicle transactions faster for residents.
The Service Agency confirmed that technical support and user guidance for the new digital workflow are now available across both mobile and desktop platforms.
