Georgia's Migration Department deported 126 foreign nationals in coordinated operations carried out yesterday and today, the Interior Ministry said.
Two-day operation
Staff from the Migration Department worked with other Interior Ministry units to remove the group from the country. Officials described the action as part of broader enforcement measures taken over the two-day period.
Those deported held citizenship of Russia, Turkey, India, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Nigeria, Jordan, Burundi, Sudan, China, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Lebanon, Moldova, and the Philippines.
Year-to-date figures
The ministry said migration officers had already deported 2,036 people identified as residing illegally in Georgia during the first six months of 2026. That figure exceeds the total number removed over the whole of 2025, according to the department.
Authorities did not specify individual grounds for each removal in the latest batch. Georgia has stepped up migration enforcement in recent years as part of wider border and residency controls.
