FlyOne is adding a direct Chisinau–Batumi route from 28 June, with twice-weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays, the carrier has announced. Tickets for the new link are already on sale through the airline’s booking channels.
The route connects Moldova’s capital with Georgia’s main Black Sea resort city without a transfer through Tbilisi or a long overland journey via Romania and Turkey. For Moldovan travellers, Batumi has become a familiar summer destination; for Batumi’s hotels and tourism operators, another scheduled air link expands the pool of visitors arriving by air from outside the Caucasus.
FlyOne already operates regional services across Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus, including other Batumi connections. Officials framing the launch describe it as strengthening tourism ties between Moldova and Georgia — two markets linked by visa-free travel for short stays and growing leisure traffic in the summer season.
Schedule details beyond the Thursday and Sunday frequency have not been heavily promoted in the initial announcement; passengers should confirm departure times and baggage rules at booking. Batumi International Airport has expanded its seasonal route map in recent years as Adjara promotes beach tourism, conferences and cross-border travel with Turkey.
