Romanian carrier DAN AIR is entering the Georgia market with direct Tbilisi–Bucharest flights from 1 July, according to the airline’s published schedule.
The route will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays through 24 October, giving passengers a seasonal link between Georgia’s capital and Bucharest’s Henri Coandă airport without changing planes elsewhere in Europe.
What the route offers
DAN AIR is a low-cost Romanian airline that flies Airbus narrow-body aircraft on regional routes across the Balkans and Eastern Europe. For Tbilisi, the service adds another direct option for travel to and from Romania, where Georgian citizens can visit visa-free for short stays.
The carrier has advertised Bucharest–Tbilisi tickets from 80 euros one way excluding baggage, placing the route in the budget segment of Georgia’s international air market. Departure times, terminal assignments and check-in rules are listed on DAN AIR’s booking channels and should be confirmed before travel.
For expats and visitors in Tbilisi, the flights support tourism, business trips and family visits to Romania. Travellers from Batumi and other regions typically connect via Tbilisi for international departures; Kutaisi and Batumi airports serve other carriers on separate routes.
Tickets are on sale ahead of the 1 July start. The published schedule runs until late October; later winter dates have not been announced.
