Officials have presented the design for a new city wedding palace in Batumi, a registry office planned for the city's new boulevard beside Lech and Maria Kaczyński Park.
The project
The architectural concept was developed in Georgia. Presenters said the building is intended to fit harmoniously into the coastal park setting, with a contemporary white facade, glass-walled ceremony spaces, and a curved exterior ramp.
Renderings shown at the presentation depict a two-storey structure with warm interior lighting and landscaped grounds along the pedestrian boulevard.
Government role
The Justice Ministry said the project forms part of a longer-term policy to modernise infrastructure for public services. Civil registry offices in Georgia handle civil marriages and related official registrations.
Officials did not announce when construction would begin or provide a completion timeline.
Location
The site sits on Batumi's newer seafront boulevard, close to the park named after Poland's late president Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria. The area has been developed in recent years as part of the city's expanded waterfront promenade.
