Georgian Railway has announced a new operational schedule for passenger trains connecting Tbilisi and Batumi, reducing total travel time between the capital and the Black Sea coast to approximately four hours.
The updated timetable shortens the journey by about 1.5 hours compared to previous transit schedules, reflecting ongoing infrastructure and fleet operational adjustments along the main rail corridor.

Passengers traveling from Batumi Central station to Tbilisi Central can choose from five daily departures spread throughout the day and overnight:

- 08:00 – 11:58
- 14:10 – 18:11
- 16:50 – 20:48
- 18:30 – 22:28
The new schedule provides options for early morning arrivals as well as convenient evening travel.
