Batumi municipal inspection has introduced 24-hour acoustic noise monitoring across the city to manage sound levels during the busy summer tourist season. Patrol teams are operating continuously to inspect commercial venues and public areas in response to resident complaints.
Hotline and Enforcement Procedure
Residents experiencing excessive noise can report violations directly to the municipal inspection by calling 598 85 15 20. Following a report, an operational team is dispatched to the location to measure sound levels using calibrated acoustic equipment.
If measurements confirm that noise levels exceed permitted legal standards, officials issue an immediate fine to the responsible party or business entity.
Exemptions and Incident Statistics
The round-the-clock enforcement rules include specific exceptions for daytime construction activities, which are permitted between 08:00 and 23:00. Additionally, public and private events that have obtained official prior authorization from the Batumi municipality are exempt from standard quiet-hours restrictions.
According to official records, municipal authorities have received 94 reports of noise limit violations in Batumi since the beginning of the year. Inspections conducted in response to these complaints resulted in 24 fines issued against non-compliant operators.
