An updated fountain is now running at the entrance to Batumi Boulevard, the city’s seaside promenade. Jets rise from a long rectangular pool framed by low decorative fencing, with palm trees and walkways around the water.

New look at the gates

The feature marks a refreshed welcome for people arriving at the park from the city side. The paved square and checkered path sit beside the pool under open sky, making the entrance easier to spot on a summer stroll.

What stood there before

One of the fountains on this stretch previously shared ground with a civil registry office building. After that structure was demolished, the government said a new registry would be built elsewhere — freeing the boulevard entrance for public landscaping and water displays rather than offices.

Batumi Boulevard remains the main waterfront walk for residents and visitors; the renovated fountain is part of keeping that gateway open and ornamental.
